GOT INSULIN?

My nephew Carter has been the driving force behind my platform, "Got Insulin?".  Since his diagnosis 8 years ago, I’ve dedicated myself to Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) and the Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalition (DPAC). Through my roles with the Breakthrough T1D Pennsylvania Advocacy team, Outreach team, and the Promise to Remember Me campaign, I’ve been passionately working to make insulin affordable for everyone.

As a pharmacist with over 20 years of experience working with the diabetic community, I’ve seen far too many patients leave empty-handed because they couldn’t afford the life-saving insulin they need. This reality motivates me to meet with congressmen, legislators, and government representatives to advocate for laws that would cap insulin copays at $35. My goal is to ensure that one day, Carter, and everyone like him, will never have to choose between paying rent, feeding their family, or affording their life-sustaining insulin.
